James Anderson, Chairman, has over 30 years of experience in managing investments in information technology since starting his career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in 1982. James founded the Media & Entertainment business unit of Accenture in the UK & Europe and, as these sectors entered a world of digital content and services, developed the business unit into a $150 million revenue business. Growth came from a mixture of serving both major enterprises and digital start-ups, with an array of strategy consulting services, the implementation of technology solutions, and outsourced business process solutions. In 2002 as EVP Technology & CIO at EMI Music, and a member of the global EMI Music operating board, James was responsible for all information technology related investments and operations around the world during a period when the music industry underwent transformational change. James is also Chairman of the Board for Harrison Maritime Holdings Limited. This is a privately held technology services business specialising in the provision of technology solutions & outsourced managed information services for the commercial and military maritime sectors globally.
Adrian Butter, Chief Technology Officer, Adrian is an experienced information technology professional and Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), specialising in the areas of systems integration, software development, and programme management. Adrian has significant experience of leading team efforts at multiple organisations with key skills in programme and project organisation, leadership and delivery. Adrian has a history of successful high profile deliveries in both large multi-national companies and more nimble and agile start-up companies. Adrian has in-depth knowledge of business analysis, digital strategy and technology creation. Having spent a large part of his career at Accenture across multiple Media, Communications and Entertainment organisations, Adrian has latterly worked for News Corporation leading digital publishing platform development, and more recently as Digital Strategy Lead for Deloitte Digital. Adrian focusses on the delivery of complex software solutions to the enterprise and consumer that in turn drive business value.
Stephen Edward, Director of Client Projects, has
over 20 years of experience in delivering enterprise solutions and IT enabled
change in both the private and public sectors. After starting his career
in software development at the London School of Economics, Stephen delivered
infrastructure and IT services both nationally and internationally at Reuters,
where he held global leadership roles. At News Corporation Stephen led the off-shoring and virtualisation of the company’s IT
infrastructure, and led the enterprise transformation agenda, driving efficiency and innovation. Stephen
focusses on helping companies achieve results by understanding &
transitioning to new capability.
Andrew Hickey, CEO, has a long pedigree in information technology having qualified in Computer Science in 1986 at London University in the U.K. He started his career in operating system and applications software development working for Ferranti Systems and IBM in Europe and the U.S.A., and has deep experience and credibility in managing the software development process. Andrew’s track record in product development is complemented by a successful career in management consulting as a specialist technology partner in Accenture’s global Communications and Media practice. Between 2002 and 2012 Andrew held industry roles as CTO of EMI Music, CIO of News Corporation in the U.K., and CIO of O2 (Telefonica U.K.) Andrew worked closely at board level with these high profile international organisations, transitioning their business models to the digital economy, and creating, sourcing, and managing complex enterprise software and infrastructure solutions.
Matthew Jolliffe, Chief Architect, has over 25 years of experience in enterprise IT having qualified in Computer Science in 1985 at London University in the U.K. His career started in bespoke application software development in the finance and insurance sectors followed by roles at Oracle Corporation and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Matthew has leadership and technology experience in systems integration, outsourcing, CIO advisory, mergers & acquisitions integration/divestment, and enterprise architecture. Matthew’s track record in emerging technologies is significant and he has architected solutions in data warehousing, interactive TV, consumer internet platforms, e-commerce and virtualisation technologies. Matthew has worked across industry sectors including banking, insurance, manufacturing, and telecommunications, and has most recently focussed on multi-channel retail with enterprise architecture assignments at Sainsburys and a major internet retailer.
Andrew Mendoza, Director of Strategy & Business Development, started his career in blue chip corporate strategy consulting with Bain and the Kalchas Group. Andrew moved to Accenture to drive the growth of the global Media and Entertainment practice, where he also started working with Andrew Hickey. As a Partner at Accenture, Andrew worked with a number of major enterprises and early stage businesses on responding to threats and opportunities triggered by digital business models. Following his time at Accenture, Andrew became a partner at OC&C Strategy Consultants, and now works in an advisory capacity for a number of early stage businesses who are transforming the global digital economy. Andrew also has a number of board advisory positions and co-founded Exodus Ventures, an Angel EIS Investment club.
